DISTRIBUTION AND WAREHOUSING

It only seems a natural fit that we would provide this service as it meshes so well with inbound and outbound consolidation. Today, many customers take advantage of the many benefits of partnering with ALS as their source for Distribution and Warehousing services. Some of which are:

  • Maintaining their operational flexibility
  • Staying closer to their customers
  • Operational and Production Fulfillment

Some customer's business increases and decreases from time to time throughout the course of a year. This creates uneven material flow throughout the year. When your production is peaking and you need more floor space to handle the increase you can take advantage of ALS in this manner and avoid the long-term commitment of securing space year-round and paying for it when you don't need it.

As well, some customers may need Distribution and Warehousing in regions of the US, Canada and Mexico and might not be sure how much room they need and for how long. This presents the additional challenges of not being sure where to turn. Taking advantage of ALS's strategic and outsourced service locations around the North America's provides you the flexibility to do this. Let ALS manage the operational activities and provide a single source interface, and you can manage your customer information.

Many of our customers who take advantage of ALS's I/OC service also use us to provide their manufacturing locations with the proper amount of production material with delivery to the location on an as-needed basis, hourly, weekly or whatever the need is. Often a supplier or several of them are shipping a weeks worth of production material but you don't want that material on your dock until you need it. It is a natural extension of the I/OC program. You don't need to increase the footprint of your facility to achieve this operational and production fulfillment continuity.
